Dr. Antonios D. Kargas (akargas@uniwa.gr) works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration in the University of West Attica. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as a master’s degree and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications in the same University. His research interests include managerial issues related with international business, business management, technological implementation and digital transformation, as well as cost benefit analysis, technoeconomic analysis and applied economics issues.
Since 2014, he worked as visiting lecturer in management and economics aspects in several universities such as the National and Kopidistrian University of Athens – Hellenic Open University – University of Peloponnese – University of West Attica. He has more than 35 publications in peer reviewed journals / conferences and more than 190 citations with 7 being characterized as h-index. His working experience start’s back in 2005, including consultant’s services in more than 50 businesses and participation in more than 30 National and European funded projects, while he co-found 3 start – up businesses focusing in business consultancy services and software development. Moreover, he holds significant experience as Economist / Financial Expert, responsible for conducting Cost – Benefit Analysis in 5 International Projects. Finally, he has worked as an evaluator in investments and development projects for Hellenic Development Company (Elanet), as well as for State Scholarships Foundation (IKY – Erasmus + Actions).
