The Laboratory entitled “Business and Organization Management Laboratory” (Business and Organization Management Laboratory), of the Department of Organization and Business Management of the Department of Business Administration of the School of Administrative, Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Western Attica, serves the educational and research needs in the academic subjects: Organization Business Administration, Organization Public Administration Institutions, Leadership and Change Management, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Small-Medium and Family Business Management, Business and Organization Strategy, Public-Private Partnerships, Human Resource Development Management, Supply Chain Management and Transportation, Project Management: Processes Scheduling and Techno-Economic Analysis, Total Quality Management, Institutions and Policies of the European Union, Business Ethics and Ethics, Labor Relations and Institutions in the Private and Public Sector, Conflict Management – Negotiations and Their Applications, Private Law, Special Areas and its Applications in Business, Public Law, Special Areas and its Applications in the Public Sectors, Public Contracts, Special areas of Public Management and its Applications, with a vision to contribute to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge about the objects of the laboratory and the science of Management in general.
The “Business and Organization Management Laboratory” has the mission of:
(a). The undergraduate teaching of the prescribed courses from the respective study program of the Business Administration Department of the School of Administration, Finance & Social Sciences, which are part of or related to
subjects of the Laboratory through their laboratory supervision, so that after the teaching completion the students have all the necessary skills required in the context of the implementation of the applied study program of the Department of Business Administration.
(b). The post-graduate teaching of courses in the context of related Post-graduate Studies Programs as well as the preparation of a doctoral thesis and post-doctoral research on topics related to the teaching and research subjects of the Laboratory through their laboratory supervision in accordance with the Internal Regulations for the Operation of Post-Graduate Studies of the University of Western Attica as well as independent engagement in research matters that fall within the interests of D.E.P. members. of the Laboratory.
(c). The other educational work that includes the updating of the knowledge of the graduates of the Department as well as the training of other graduates of related specialties.
(d). Independent research activity or cooperation of any kind with Research Centers, Academic Institutions, Public Bodies and Organizations at home and abroad, as long as the goals coincide, go hand in hand and complement each other with those of the Laboratory in a spirit of reciprocity and collective work.
(e). The contribution to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge regarding the subject of the laboratory and the science of Administration in general and the cooperation with public bodies, with local government bodies, with scientific social and professional bodies, with international organizations
or organizations as well as with private sector bodies in the related scientific fields, in order to contribute to the joint investigation of solutions and proposals for dealing with contemporary problems, through the collection, processing, storage and disposal of scientific data as well as the provision of opinions as experts on issues related to the knowledge objects of the Laboratory, in accordance with the current legislation.
(f) The organization, at International and National level, of Conferences and Contests of Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness of Innovation with the aim of mobilizing the productive forces of the country by highlighting new, original and innovative ideas/proposals, which qualify the fields of knowledge of the laboratory as a competitive advantage in productive sectors of the economy.
(g) Osmosis between Research Centers-Production Agencies-Academic Institutions through communication, finding common points of interest, as well as the exchange and synthesis of ideas for the development of new products and services with multiplier effects on our national economy.
