Assistant professor of the Department of Management Informatics & Decision Science of the Department of Business Administration of the University of Western Attica since 2018. Professor of Applications in the Department of Informatics and Quantitative Methods of the Department of Business Administration of the Higher Educational Institution of Piraeus Technological Sector. (since 2013), and in the Informatics Department of the General Department of Mathematics of TEI Piraeus (since 2010).
Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Computer Systems department of TEI Piraeus (1998). Holder of a master’s degree “Master Of Science (Msc) in Information Technology With Web Technology” of the University of PAISLEY, Scotland (2005) with the subject of a diploma thesis: “Implementing a Configuration Management Approach to the Development of Web-Based Systems”. Doctorate of the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (2012) with the subject of the doctoral thesis “Evaluation of educational scenarios in e-learning environments with data mining techniques”.
Member of the research laboratory “Digital Transformation & Decision Support Systems in Business & Education” (Laboratory of Digital Transformation & Decision Support Systems in Business & Education – DigiT-DSS Lab) of the Department of Management Informatics and Decision Science of the School’s Business Administration Department of Administrative, Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Western Attica. Responsible for the management/maintenance of the E-Learning Systems of the E-Learning center (https://moodle.uniwa.gr/) and the Training and Lifelong Learning Center (K.Di.Vi.M.) (http://elearning.uniwa .gr/) of the University of Western Attica.
Research Areas: Object Oriented Programming, Information Systems Analysis and Design, Internet Software Systems Engineering, Databases and Database Management Systems, E-Learning Systems Engineering, E-Business, Design Principles and Patterns, Educational Software Development, Lifelong and Distance Education.
Published educational and research work includes: 2 programming books “Java Part I Introduction to Object Oriented Programming” and “Java Part II Graphics Applications with the swing package”, 2 book chapters, a total of 14 papers in international journal chapters and conference proceedings with system judges, as well as 5 studies in the context of development and research projects.
