Dimitrios Stranis is a First Class Professor of the Department of Business Administration, a position he has held since the founding of the University until today.

His research interests are in Public Law and in particular in Administrative Law, Administrative Science and in particular in Organizational Behavior and Conflict Management and Negotiations, European Institutional Law, Labor Law, in particular in the Public but also in the Private Sector.

He has taught courses in Law and in particular Public Law and Administrative Science respectively in the above fields and in other fields. At PMS he teaches the courses Administrative Law and Institutions, Labor Relations and Institutions in the Public Sector, European Institutions, European and Comparative Public Administration and Policies.

In the above fields of interest, his extensive writing and research work consisting of monographs, publications in authoritative journals, collective volumes and presentations at conferences, which has been widely recognized (with many cross-references), can be found.
Academic-professional experience and activity
He has been a permanent Professor of various levels since 1997. His extensive teaching experience begins in 1986 at the previous Institution, and has been acquired in this and other Institutions, and in particular at the Athens University of Economics and Business (OPA), as its appointed teacher, for a number of years (2004-2017). He is the Director of the PMS “Public Administration – Public Management” from the year 2017 until today. He has taught in several Master’s Programs since the year 2001. He is the Director of an institutionalized Research Laboratory. He is a member of editorial and scientific committees of a significant number of scientific journals. He has been a member of organizational and scientific committees of many conferences and has chaired sessions of important conferences. He has exercised important administrative and academic duties as a Sector Director for a number of years and a member of various Committees of a purely academic and administrative nature. He has been a Lawyer in Athens since 1985. He appears before the Supreme Courts and in particular the Council of State, the Court of Auditors and the Supreme Court, for important public bodies and private bodies. He also appears before the Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).
